Description of content: This Draft Uganda Standard applies to the tubercles of commercial varieties of lilac tannia grown from Xanthosoma violaceum Schott and white tannia grown from Xanthosoma sagittifolium (L.) Schott, of the Araceae family, to be supplied fresh to the consumer, after preparation and packaging. Tannias for industrial processing are excluded.
